A company established by hairdressers for hairdressers, Paul Mitchell began as the creative collaboration and partnership between John Paul DeJoria and Paul Mitchell. They launched John Paul Mitchell Systems in 1980 and their marketing strategy was based on traveling to independent salons and conducting no-cost product demonstrations. They were so steadfast in their conviction that their products would sell, they guaranteed salon owners that they would buy-back any unsold product. This was a first for the beauty industry and as a result, John Paul Mitchell Systems quickly became one of the fastest growing privately-held companies.

With quality ingredients, state-of-the-art technology and top performance, it’s no wonder that Paul Mitchell is the most trusted name in hair care. Organized by categories, Paul Mitchell products do exactly what they say, so they’re easy to use! Pure and simple, Paul Mitchell offers luxurious, results-driven hair care at an affordable price.

Kiehl’s, an American cosmetics brand retailer that specializes in hair’, skin and body care products, opened its first store in 1851 in the East Village of New York . In 2000, Kiehl’s was purchased by the L’Oreal Group which now currently has more than 250 retail stores worldwide. We are excited to be acquiring one here in Brooklyn!

According to the Brooklyn Eagle, the Montague Street store will resemble the Lexington Avenue shop. The Lexington Avenue shop is eccentric with a skeletal display called “Mr. Bones” to remind shoppers of Kiehl’s origins as an apothecary.
